On the Path to Discovering "Earth Wise" Technologies...

1987

Bruce Searle begins research on air purification technologies. Two patents are issued, leading to the formation of a technology company called CleanTech International.

1991

CleanTech International is sold and a new company, Air Quality Technologies, is created to market additional new products covered by the previous patents.

2004

In 2004, Bruce developed a new infrared heater technology for a large company. The new heater design exceeded the company’s parameters and price point for the type of marketing strategy the company employed to generate most of its sales, so Bruce created a new company to market the technology: EarthWise Technologies, Inc.

EarthWise Technologies is based in Washington state, and specializes in infrared heating technology. We are located near Seattle, where it provides full service and support from its own fulfillment center.EarthWise Technologies, Inc. is based in Washington state, and specializes in infrared heating technology.

Infrared technology is far more efficient as a heat source, both for residential and commercial applications where quick heat absorption is the optimal goal. The medical community has long known that infrared heat is the most therapeutic type of heat to use for physical therapy and rehabilitation. It is also the most efficient way to heat a home, with the most important benefit  of providing greater physical comfort as a drastic energy savings in power consumption. Today

The manufacture of a quality product, even if the technology is superior, is quite an art. Bruce Searle spends half of his time in Taiwan and Vietnam overseeing the production of the CZ Infrared™ Heater and other EarthWise products. The bulk of the profits are made through the US Master Distributors and Dealers here in the US and Canada. About 20% of the overall profits go to the manufacturer while the balance is distributed into the lines of distribution required to provide service and support for the product here in the US and Canada.

Most products today are made offshore in order to bring the product to market here in the US or Canada at a reasonable price. This cannot be accomplished domestically with some products. No matter what stereo system or computer you buy, for instance, you will find that the economies of production are only available from offshore brands.

We focus on producing a quality product at a fair price, and we provide parts and warranty service through our dealers and master distributors to our customers. Our three-year warranty was the first in the portable infrared heater market.
